Summer Spanish Immersion in Spain for High School & College Students

Edu-Culture Immersion, Costa del Sol:
Improve your Spanish language skills, and experience Spanish and Andalusian culture first-hand through the unique individual immersion program offered by Edu-Culture Immersion (ECI), a leading language and cultural immersion organization. Available to high school students and college students (ages 15-21), this program gives you the opportunity to live with a Spanish host family on the Costa del Sol for 2-4 weeks during the months of July and August. With no program of planned activities, you will live the life of a typical Spanish teenager in the popular beach resort of Almeria, approximately 200km from Malaga, on the beautiful Mediterranean coast of Southern Spain.

Individual Spanish Immersion for High School & College Students:
2-4 week immersion programs for students ages 15-21

Enjoy an unforgettable summer abroad program! You will live with a host Spanish family, carefully chosen for you by our experienced Host Family Coordinator, in the popular beach resort town of Almeria on the Costa del Sol.

Host families usually have teenagers who are a similar age to you. The length of stay is up to you. Students usually stay for between two and four weeks, but some stay longer. This program is available in July and August.

Your Host Family Coordinator will be on-hand throughout your experience, as part of the ECI support team. She will visit you in your host family home and also meet up with you during your stay to make sure all is going well.

There will be no classes, no group activities, no English. Simply experience Spanish culture, Spanish family life and Spanish language!

Your family will offer to take you on local excursions or sightseeing in Almeria and the surrounding region. But you will also spend time immersed in the daily routines of the family. Enjoy mealtimes, going shopping with your host parents, going to the beach, family parties, or just relaxing and getting to know your family.

ECI also gives you the opportunity to customize your immersion program. If you want to take dance classes, tennis lessons, or keep up with swim practice during your immersion stay, we will do all we can to accommodate your requests.

Program Requirements:You must be between the ages of 15 and 21. You must have completed a minimum of 2 years (or equivalent) of high school Spanish by June 2016.
