ArtsAbroad is an organization based near Washington, D.C. that provides study abroad summer programs for adults in fields such as music, dance, visual arts, design, theater, and film. Our Flamenco Dance or Guitar + Spanish Language program in Granada, Spain, is aimed at dance and guitar students. Flamenco experience is not necessary. This program includes Daily Flamenco and Spanish language lessons plus attendance at the International Festival of Music & Dance. A weekend trip to Nerja, a nearby beach town is also included.
Your Program Coordinator - Lillian Mattiaccio:
Lillian Mattiaccio is a flamenco dancer and performer based in Washington, DC. She currently trains at Joy of Motion and is a founding member of Furia Flamenca, a flamenco dance company under the direction of Estela Velez. She has studied with distinguished flamenco figures through local workshops and at the National Institute of Flamenco in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She also has experience teaching youth and adult flamenco. Lillian’s background in dance includes ballet, tap, jazz, traditional Afro-Cuban dance and Argentine tango.
Housing and Meals:
Housing in small shared apartments, located very close to the school and city center. You can cook your own meals or eat out in restaurants.

Our Flamenco Dance or Guitar + Spanish language program is located in Granada, in the Andalusia community of Southern Spain. Arrive just in time to attend performances at the International Festival of Music & Dance. Visit the Alhambra, an ancient Moorish palace fortress from the 1300’s. The Sacromonte with its unique cave houses gives you taste of a gypsy flamenco neighborhood. As a university city, there is plenty of student nightlife and shopping.

EIDE, Bilbao
Courses / Programs
EIDE Spanish School is located in Bilbao, Northern Spain and offers a range of Spanish language courses to students from around the world. In addition to our Spanish courses for adults, we offer 2-week Spanish summer camps for children and teenagers between 11-17 years of age. 1, 3, and 4-week camps can also be arranged on request. Our summer programs combine quality Spanish language courses with fun activities and homestay accommodation with local host families.Spanish classes are held at EIDE. Students attend 20 classes per week and each class lasts 45 minutes. Four activities or half-day excursions are organized each week. There will always be members of our staff with the children during the classes and activities.
EIDE is located in the city centre of Santurtzi, a fishing town on the northern edge of Metropolitan Area of Bilbao. Bilbao is the largest city in the Basque County (close to the French border) and is easily accessible by air, road and rail. It is only 1 hour flight from Madrid and Barcelona and 1.5 hours flight from Malaga. Santander is a 75 minute drive and San Sebastian is 60 minutes drive away. A Brittany Ferries ferry service links Santurtzi to Portsmouth, UK.
