Walk down our terrace steps and into the sea. JB's channel is a protected channel on the side of Puerto Rico beach. On the outside of the channel is a rock reef that runs along the sea wall. Depth from 2 to 12 metres.

This is where you can take an introductory dive or refresh your skills after a break from diving. The channel is teeming with small fish, damselfish, wrasse, bream and mullet. The reef has lots of small holes where you can search for octopus and cuttlefish.

Amadores beach
Around the next bay from Aquanauts is Amadores beach. You can explore the sea wall and break waters which are home to many damselfish, mullet and bream. If you are lucky you may see a ray or angel shark in the sand on the outside of the break water. An ideal beginner or refresher dive. 2 - 12 metres.

Marine Reserve "El Cabron" at Arinaga
Possibly one of the best dives in the Atlantic. A government protected area accessible from shore, where you will enjoy all the species the Canary Islands has to offer. This is a large reef with several entry and exit points, caves and swim throughs as well as the abundant sea life.

A must see for all levels of divers. 5 - 30 metres

Two large reefs with shoals of yellow snappers and barracuda. Rays can be found in the sand and look out for the giant puffer fish. 14 – 20 metres.

Dive two wrecks in one dive. The wrecks are 30 metres long with trumpet fish, groupers, rays and a small shoal of yellow snappers. Watch out for the yellow submarine that also visits the wrecks. 16 to 19 metres.

Artificial Reef
Abundant sea life in a small area. This artificial reef is a successful university programme to enhance the diving possibilities on the island. There are large schools of barracuda and yellow snappers, lots of moray eels and sting-rays. Angel shark can also be spotted. 22 metres.

El Pajar

Spanish Sailing
Courses / Programs
Spanish Sailing is located 2kms from the Catalan fishing town of l'Ametlla de Mar, 150 kms down the coast from Barcelona, Spain. Our school is set on 5 acres surrounded by olive farms and mountains. Our school is a fully residential Royal Yachting Association (RYA) approved shore based training centre. We teach all of the RYA theory courses in one-to-one situations and in a beautiful environment. In addition to the normal classroom facilities, our school is fully equipped with a variety of simulators and even a fully working electronic 'bridge'. The number of participants on any course is intentionally kept low to allow near one-to-one attention and the structure of the training is flexible to allow individual requirements to be addressed. It is usual to start the course by correspondence ahead of the visit, to make best use of the time at the centre where the concentration is on those topics usually found the most difficult to grasp and where individual attention is most needed.
Instruction is in English. RYA Basic Navigation, RYA Day Skipper theory, RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster theory, RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance, RYA SRC (VHF), RYA Radar, Electronic Navigation.
