Nuestra actividad principal es la enseñanza de la lengua y la cultura norteamericanas, mediante un profesorado altamente cualificado y un sistema de enseñanza basado en la interacción en clase entre el profesor y el alumno. Entendemos que esta fórmula directa de relación personal es la más rápida y eficaz para el aprendizaje de la lengua.

Las Clases de Inglés del Institut Nord-americà son impartidas por profesores, con titulación y especializados en enseñar inglés como lengua no nativa. Las Clases son participativas y dinámicas. Nuestra experiencia y dedicación en la enseñanza de inglés durante más de 55 años avalan nuestro método y programa de estudios, y muestran la seriedad y fiabilidad del Institut Nord-americà.

El Programa General de Adultos se divide en 6 Niveles de entre 120 y 150 horas de clase cada uno:
• Básico, Pre-Intermedio, Intermedio, Intermedio-alto, Avanzado y Proficiency.
• Cada Nivel se subdivide en 4 ó 5 Módulos de 30 horas de clase cada uno.

Al margen del Programa General existen Cursos especiales de:
• Conversación, Inglés para profesionales y empresas, cursos temáticos de conversación y mantenimiento para niveles Proficiency., etc.

Los alumnos y alumnas de cada clase tienen el mismo nivel de conocimiento del inglés. Cada alumno o alumna ha hecho una prueba de aptitud gratuita para saber su Nivel y se le asigna el nivel y módulo que mejor se adapta a sus conocimientos y necesidades.

Toda la clase se hace en inglés. Sólo puntualmente y en niveles básicos, el profesor utilizaría español para explicar algo en beneficio de la clase.

Se utilizan libros como pautas de estudio, para cubrir los temas del programa de cada Nivel. Pero el mayor hincapié se hace en la comunicación y comprensión oral. Hay mucha interacción entre el Profesor y los Alumnos. Se explican los temas a tratar y se trabaja sobre ellos. Las clases tienen un alto componente de conversación.
