Come and study Italian in the very heart of Italy! Scuola di Italiano Dante Alighieri is an Italian language school in Camerino in the beautiful Marche region of Central Italy. We offer year-round Italian immersion programs and language and culture courses to students from around the world. Class sizes are limited so students to ensure fast learning progress. Our Italian courses are offered in various levels, from beginner to advanced, to ensure that every student can join a class with similar knowledge of the Italian language. Camerino has excellent transport links to the cities of Florence, Rome, Bologna, Venice, Naples and Capri and can be reached easily by car, bus or train. Rome and Florence are less than 2 hours away by car.

Our Italian teachers are fully experienced in teaching Italian to foreigners and follow a method focusing on communication, according to the latest methodological guidelines for the teaching of modern languages. Our students learn the language through listening, speaking, reading and writing in a creative and fun way and environment. 

We use modern and up-to-date books and teaching materials that are suitable for both young students and adults. In addition to primary sources, videos, songs, movies, newspapers and authentic materials are used to make lessons more enjoyable and interesting. Teachers and specialists also participate in extracurricular activities allowing students to practice the language outside the classroom.

Italian Study Holidays (4-weeks):
Our Italian Study Holidays are intensive, 4-week Italian immersion programs. They comprise 100 hours of study which are divided into 80 hours of Italian language classes and 20 hours of culture lessons. Added to this are recreational activities such as guided tours and excursions to some of the Marche’s and Italy’s most beautiful cities (Rome, Florence, Perugia, Siena, Venezia etc). The courses are made up of small groups and adapted to all levels - from total beginner to advanced.

- Preparation for the University of Perugia's CELI (Certificate of Knowledge of Italian Language) and DILS-PG (Didactics of Italian Foreign Language) certification exams
- Italian + Introduction to Italian Law
- Summer refresher courses for foreign Italian language teachers

We also can arrange classes for: individual conversation, grammar, business Italian, Italian for opera singers, Italian for tourism and hotel industry, preparation courses for admission to Italian universities, courses for Erasmus students.

Camerino is an ancient university town with architectural and cultural treasures. Located in a green hilly area among fortresses, castles, medieval villages that are rich in history and culture, it is welcoming and quiet, just 70 km from the Adriatic Sea and close to the National Park of Sibylline Mountains. The Marche region boasts unforgettable landscapes and a rich, diverse cultural life. Its historic towns, art, folk traditions and wonderful gastronomy really makes it a stimulating place to both learn the Italian language and enjoy a wonderful yet inexpensive holiday. 

Excellent transport links:
Camerino’s central location allows you to quickly reach famous places nearby such as Urbino, San Marino, Rimini, Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi. Camerino also has excellent transport links to the cities of Florence, Rome, Bologna, Venice, Naples and Capri and can be reached easily by car, bus or train. There is a train station located just 5 minutes from the school.

The nearest international airport is the Ancona-Falconara airport about 70km from Camerino. It offers direct flights to and from many major Italian and European cities including Rome, Milan, London, Munich, Paris, Madrid, Moscow among others. Ferries sail daily to and from Greece, Turkey, and Croatia from the port of Ancona (70km from the school).

Residence Halls:
Experience living in a typical Italian university town! Accommodation is guaranteed to all students in the comfortable flats (apartments) of Residence Hall "Bongiovanni". Only a 5-minute walk from our school, these flats are located in the historic centre of Camerino. Flats with 2-3 shared bedrooms are available or for an additional fee, you can have a single room (in a flat with other students), a studio flat for 2 people or an independent studio flat. All flats have an independent entrance, kitchen, TV, bathroom and are equipped with washing machine (in the housing unit or in the apartment building). Students can cook for themselves in their apartments or enjoy the Italian local cuisine.
