In summer you can make new friends in a beer garden, enjoy one of the many lakes in the surroundings of Munich or simply relax in the “Englischer Garten”. Snow covers the city in wintertime. People go sledging in “Olympia Park” or skiing in the nearby Alps. Don’t miss the popular “Christkindl Markets” where you can experience traditional Christmas ambience and buy nice gifts. Soccer matches at the famous new Allianz Arena, sports facilities at the Olympic site, exhibitions in museums and galleries, theatres, cinemas, fairs, concerts, discos – Munich really has it all and will quickly become your home away from home.
