Every year we begin anew with fresh ideas and deepening relationships with the local artisans to share with you, our guests. In sync with our allegiance to the SlowFood movement, we are working almost exclusively with organic produce, organic vineyards and organic suppliers of all sorts. Food is our life, and the best quality we are able to obtain means -- for us -- organic and locally cultivated.

Intensive French & Cooking Courses:

Photo of French Language & Cooking Courses in FranceIn our culinary tours, we begin each week with a visit to the outdoor market of Arles, the largest in France with over 1300 merchants. There we choose our fresh ingredients for our first cooking classes. As the week progresses we visit local artisans such as the chocolate maker, or the potter and go wine-tasting at local wineries. We will pass through orchards of olive trees and fruit, vine-covered hill sides and plateaus, rows of vegetables that will show up at the market stalls in Arles every Wednesday and Saturday. Through stories, history and daily cooking classes we will share the traditional foods of Provence, the warmth of sharing time over Mediterranean food and Rhone wines, the pleasures of the table.

We offer a special 2 week course combining intensive French instruction (30 hours), cooking classes, wine tasting, excursions, and many a lively evening with friends around the dinner table.

Founded in 1965, Paris American Academy (PAA) is an accredited arts & design school located less than a kilometer from Notre-Dame Cathedral in the famous Latin Quarter of Paris.

We offer intensive summer programs in the subjects of fashion, interior design, fine arts and creative writing. Our summer courses last for four weeks and are all taught in English. A Survival French course is included in the program.

In addition, the English Language Institute at Paris American Academy (ELI PAA) offers an intensive 4-week English course year-round.
