Location and Facilities:
Alpha College of English is situated in a historical Georgian building which has been renovated to provide students with bright spacious classrooms equipped with video, CD and cassette recorders, large whiteboards and over head projectors.
Alpha College is located on North Great George's Street in the heart of Dublin's city centre a short stroll from O'Connell St which is regarded as THE city centre of Dublin.
Coffee Room
The Alpha College Coffee Room is the central communal area of the school where students and teachers meet at break times to have coffee or tea with sandwiches and snacks.
Students and teachers can buy freshly made sandwiches, tea, coffee, cappuccino, etc every break time and lunch time as well as croissants, pastries and rolls freshly baked every morning.
Study Rooms
Alpha College students have access to our Study Rooms every afternoon to supplement their coursework.
Students can choose from a wide variety of Self Study course materials from our Library or use the Study Rooms to complete their homework or read back over their class work for the day.
Study rooms are spacious and bright. Students may also borrow videos from the library to watch in the Study Rooms.
Computer Room
Alpha College students have free internet and email access every afternoon.
Alpha College has a dedicated computer room with a high speed broadband connection.
Students book times on the email and internet booking sheet at reception.
Students using Alpha College internet and email facilities are subject to the rules of the college regarding Internet / Email abuse and misuse.
Library
The Alpha College Library is available to students every afternoon.
Students can use our wide range of supplementary materials and self study resources to support their course and improve their English.
Our Academic staff are always available to give advice on reference books, videos, supplementary course books, CD Roms, readers and dictionaries.
Students who are studying in the library can also consult us on aspects of their course or specific language tasks.

Alpha College of English is located on North Great George's Street in Dublin's city centre.
O'Connell Street is regarded as City Centre and is well known to everybody who visits Dublin. So when you reach O'Connell Street, it will be very easy to find Alpha College.
As you go North along O'Connell Street, you will pass the General Post Office (G.P.O.) on your left with the new Spire in the middle of the street and the Gresham Hotel on your right hand side farther down the street. When you reach the top of the street you will see the Ambassador Theatre in front of you to your left. Turn right when you see the Ambassador Theatre and walk along Parnell Street. North Great George's Street is the first main street to the left. As you walk along North Great George's Street, you will pass the James Joyce Centre on your right.
