Lessons take place in-house or at our offices in London. For maximum effectiveness of training, all course are tailor-made to suit the specialist requirements of the student.
Rainbow aims to give you the skills you need to use your target language in the real world with confidence. From the outset your course will be extremely practical, whilst at the same time ensuring a solid grasp of the grammar and correct language usage. Because the course is designed to suit your business needs the focus will be on developing work- related skills such as presenting information, handling telephone conversations, translating documents, taking part in meetings, writing effective business letters, as well as holding social conversations. Teaching is student led and the emphasis is on a lively and interactive approach. Activities include listening and reading comprehension, discussion and role play. your independent study plan Self study is, of course, an important part of your study programme. Your tutor will prepare tasks and materials for your independent study. The amount of time scheduled for this will have been incorporated into your individual course plan. authentic materials Your tutor will introduce you to a wide range of materials , many of which are authentic and will be selected to relate directly to your working needs. Materials may include: radio and TV recordings, professional publications, newspaper cuttings, videos, etc. a typical lesson Every lesson is different and this is part of the enjoyment of learning a foreign language. To give you a flavour of what a typical lesson may consist of here is an outline plan: 1) Review of major teaching points of previous lesson
2) Assessment of self-study tasks
3) Introduction of new functions, grammar structures and vocabulary
4) Practical use of new knowledge
5) Recap and setting of new self-study work.
