Throughout its history, Walford Anglican School for Girls has been recognised as a leader in the education of girls. Calrossy is an Anglican Day and Boarding Secondary School for girls located in Tamworth, Northern New South Wales. It has one of the largest boarding enrolments among NSW girls' boarding schools. There are full-time, fortnightly and weekly boarders. They arrive from overseas, Sydney, the NSW central and north coast but most from central and north-west NSW. The school's location in Tamworth means many families in central and northwest NSW have their daughters close to home. Students who live further away can travel quickly and easily using the regular daily services provided by air services, Country Link trains and buses. Calrossy is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). Calrossy requires overseas students to arrange a local guardian with whom to stay during free weekends and term vacations. Students cannot remain at school during these scheduled holidays. Calrossy requires overseas applicants, for whom English is NOT their first language, to complete an English proficiency test after their application is received.
