Canadian College, Vancouver:
The Canadian College is a large private college that is located at the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Established in 2008, we offer several internationaly recognized Certificates and Diplomas in Business Management and Hospitality Operations. International students can receive paid work in Canada by taking the Hospitality Operations Diploma Co-op or the Business Management Diploma Co-op.
International Business Management Program
The International Business Management Diploma program at Canadian College is designed to help the student develop a solid foundation in traditional business topics with a global mindset, the greatest asset and most critical skill in business today.
Upon successful completion of a diploma program, students will either have the opportunity to qualify for additional certification and recognition towards a Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) designation as a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) or will have acquired valuable hands on business experience through the Co-op program. Each program has been designed to provide students with the competitive advantage required to be universally prepared to work in a global economy.
Business Administration Certificate
This 3-month program is designed for students who are looking for a short-term program as an introduction to business or to enhance their English in a College setting.
BAC Details:
3 months (1 semester)
Students who complete the International Business Certificate will receive:
Canadian College Business Administration Certificate
FITT Certificate
This 3-month program is designed for students with excellent English ability and some work experience or post secondary business training looking to fast track their International trade training. By using internationally recognized FITT materials, this program fulfills the initial stages of becoming a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).
FITT Cert Details:
3 months (1 semester)
Students who complete the International Business Certificate will receive a FITT Certificate.
International Business Certificate (IBC)
This 6-month program is designed for students who are looking for a career in International trade, but lack any formal business training or need to enhance their English ability in a college setting. By using internationally recognized FITT materials, this program fulfills the initial stages of becoming a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).
IBC Details:
6 months (2 semesters)
Students who complete the International Business Certificate will receive:

- FITT Certificate
Business Fundamentals Diploma
Canadian College has partnered with Durham College in Oshawa to deliver the first year of general business courses that can lead to six different diploma options:
2 or 3-year Accounting, Human Resources, Operations Management or Marketing diploma
3-year Advanced Business diploma
University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) transfer diploma (bridging required).
After successfully completing three semesters of business study at Canadian College, students will graduate with a diploma in Business Fundamentals. Furthermore, transfer credit will be granted for each course in which the student receives a “B” grade or higher.
Hospitality Operations Program
The Hospitality Operations program at Canadian College offers a range of both short and long-term certificate and diploma options, which are certified by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AH&LA) and internationally recognized to meet professional industry standards. Each program and course therein, has been designed to provide students the competitive advantage require to be universally prepared to work in a global economy.
International Hotel Management Certificate
This very intense 3-month program is designed for students with some experience but limited time and who are still seeking an internationally recognized Hotel Management credential. Employers seek individuals who possess technical knowledge, practical, communication, and strong leadership The best candidates for positions are those that have the ability to anticipate the needs of customers, and to deliver exceptional customer service.
IHMC Details:
3 months (1 semesters)
Student who complete the Hotel Management Certificate will receive:
AH&LA International Hotel Management Certificate
5 credits toward the Hospitality Management Diploma
Hospitality Management Diploma Co-op
This two-year program has been designed for students looking for a Hospitality career in Canada. The International Hospitality Management Diploma program at Canadian College comprises a total of 12 AH&LA courses, five business courses and 1000 Co-op hours. Upon successful completion, students will receive the Canadian College International Hospitality Diploma, AH&LA Hospitality Management Diploma and AH&LA International Hotel Certificate, the latter of which are certified by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AH&LA) to meet professional industry standards.
HMD Co-op Details:
2 years (8 semesters)
Student who complete the Hospitality Management Diploma Co-op will receive:
- Canadian College Hospitality Management Diploma Co-op
- AH&LA Hospitality Management Certificate
- BC ‘Foodsafe’, ‘serving-it-right’ and a basic first aid certificate

Project Management Program
Increasingly, today's leading companies need project management specialists capable of delivering mission-critical work on time and on budget. A solid understanding of sound project management techniques and processes and the confidence to apply them appropriately throughout are essential to project success. The Project management Co-op is an integral component of this program as it provides students with essential experience needed to meet the PMI criteria. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Canadian College Project Management Diploma and either PMI's PMP certification (minimum 3 years related work experience) or the CAPM certification (no experience necessary.)

Project Management Diploma Co-op
This 2-year program is tailored to address the learning and training needs of both experienced project managers facing new challenges and novices heading into their first project. The program is focused on providing participants with the knowledge and skills they need to excel as project managers, or associates, and is delivered in tandem with Western business classes to satisfy the needs of international learners. The program's curriculum is compatible with the project management industry standard set by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
PMD Co-op Details:
24 months (8 semesters)
Student who complete the Project Management Diploma Co-op will receive:
- Canadian College Project Management diploma
- Either a CAPM or PMP certification from PMI
- Over 1000 hours of PM related work experience
Information Technology (IT) Program
Employers are seeking individuals who possess technical knowledge, practical, communication, and strong leadership skills. For this reason the Canadian College IT Diploma program has been designed with hands-on technical training from Cisco, Comptia, Red hat and Microsoft integrated with practical business courses and relevant co-op opportunities to ensure students graduate with the skills and abilities employers are looking for.

The 24-month IT Diploma program at Canadian College comprises a total of two Comptia courses, two Cisco courses, one Microsoft and two Red Hat open source courses along with 12 business courses and 1200 Co-op hours. Upon successful completion, students will receive the Canadian College IT Diploma, Cisco CCNA certificate, Microsoft server 2003 credit, Comptia fundamentals certificate and Red Hat system administrator Certificate.
ITD Co-op Details:
24 months (8 semesters)
Student who complete the Information Technology Diploma Co-op will receive:
- Canadian College IT diploma
- Cisco CCNA certificate
- Red hat system administrator certificate
- Comptia A+ Fundamentals certificate
