Our Philosophy:

The primary goal of St. Benedict Elementary School is to create a Catholic educational community, stressing the development of Christian character and leadership through a better understanding of the teachings and heritage of the Roman Catholic faith. As a school, we strive for excellence in education and develop the whole person—spiritually, intellectually, morally, socially, artistically and physically. Child-Centered Catholic Education:

The school program is designed to provide maximum growth of each student. Students are challenged to develop mentally, spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically. Students are encouraged to discover their special talents and abilities. Faith development is encouraged through active participation in weekly Mass attendance and daily Religion classes. Parish priests and our religious education coordinator assist in sacramental preparation and instruction.

Unique Individuals:

The children of St. Benedict Elementary School are separate and unique individuals, approaching the world of learning at various levels of development, natural ability and background. The teaching community addresses these levels through challenging opportunities for the students, stressing the curriculum that recognizes student body cultural diversity and incorporating a variety of teaching techniques and materials. Students are expected to take advantage of learning opportunities and to discover his/her unique God-given talents and abilities. 

Student Clubs:
There are a number extracurricular activities and clubs that are offered to our students. Other Enrichment Programs offered: Technology Club, Mad Science Club, Spanish Club, Improv Comedy, Beads and American Girl Class.

Over the past years, St. Benedict eighth graders have been accepted into impressive high schools, including St. Benedict High School,Gordon Technical, St. Ignatius, Lane Technical, Lincoln Park, Loyola Academy, North Side College Prep, Amundsun, Mt. Kids Connection Preschool
Courses / Programs
Kids Connection Preschool, located in Joliet in Will and Kendall Counties, Illinois (40 miles south-west of Chicago), is a Preschool offering education programs to children ages 3, 4 and 5 years. Classes are structured with the same age groupings as the public school classes. The activities and materials of the classes are geared toward the interests and abilities of children their age.

Care is taken to avoid pressure, but time for individual growth is provided through free play choices, small group activities and one-on-one attention. As children feel love and acceptance, they will learn.
3 year old classes:
