We offer internationally-recognised and accredited Cambridge University English language teacher training courses in the lively university city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in north-east England. We're here to help and give you our advice based on personal knowledge of Newcastle and of English language teaching as a career. Accommodation can be arranged by the Teacher Training Center for trainees from outside Newcastle.
English Language Teacher Training:
- Full-time CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
4-week / 120-hour courses offered year-round. CELTA provides an excellent introduction to the teaching of English as a foreign language, and aims to lay a firm foundation on which a teacher can build as s/he gains experience. Includes teaching practice.
- Full-time Delta Course Modules:
If you have substantial experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages, and are ready to progress in your career, you need the Delta qualification. You can take all Delta modules or just modules 1 or 3 at the teacher training centre in Newcastle.
- Erasmus Plus CLIL:
Designed for non-native English language teachers, this is a 1, 2 or 4 week course (25 hours per week).
