TESOL International Mexico is located in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, one of the most welcoming and hospitable towns in Mexico, in the highlands of the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. Teachers College Mexico City is an autonomous, self-governing institution, founded in 1990, and was the first institution in Mexico to implement 100% distance learning academic programs in English. Our Teachers Academic Program has been accepted by the SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública) since 1990.
The SEP requires that all individuals who wish to teach English as a Second Language in both private and public schools in Mexico have earned their teaching credentials through a 200-hour Teachers Certificate.
