I completed my CELTA course at the teacher training center in San Francisco in March of 2013, and it was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.
All of the staff were warm, welcoming, and informative. In particular, my teacher trainers Sam B. and Sezgi were both kind and effective during the four weeks we spent together. They shared their experiences and knowledge without condescension, and invited us to do the same.
Of the teacher trainers who completed the program with me, four are currently teaching. One is in Turkey, one in Japan, one in Morocco, and one in Vietnam. I am loosely in touch with all of them still, and haven’t heard from them any problems getting the jobs they want.
I can’t recommend this program highly enough. I wish everyone was lucky enough to have an experience like my fellow course-mates and I did. What a ride!
