South Florida Academy of Air Conditioning in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida is your complete private HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) training center, concentrating on a hands on approach to career success! Become a HVAC repair and installation technician in just 8 weeks through our specialized intensive technical HVAC training. As we are an approved EPA testing center, we will get you certified in HVAC at the national level, for every type of HVAC certification offered by the EPA.
Full-time HVAC Technician Program (8-weeks):
Our HVAC Technician training and certification program teaches all aspects of HVAC repair and service. We teach our students to become HVAC technicians, for installation, repair and maintenance of central AC systems, gas and electric heat, refrigeration equipment and ice machines. Our specialized intensive training is provided 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, for two months straight.
Subjects covered include:
Refrigeration Cycle; Installation of HVAC systems; Repair of HVAC systems; Trouble shooting HVAc systems; Electrical Diagram reading; Copper Brazing; EPA Testing; Gas and Electric Heat repair; Ice machine repair; Refrigeration repair.
Our intensive, specialized training includes instruction on refrigeration theory, systems trouble shooting and repair, use of specialized tools, electrical component diagnosis and repair, electrical diagram reading, system maintenance, installation and repair of central air conditioning systems and both electric and gas heat systems.
You will work on residential AC units, commercial rooftop units, refrigeration equipment, including convection freezers and refrigerators, and even ice machine repair and maintenance, an industry in itself. You will learn to repair live gas and electric heaters, learn to copper braze, do complete HVAC central air installations, install UV light air purification equipment and more!
Quality Career Training:
Our HVAC training classes have more hands on, video, textbook, and classroom training than any of our competitors in the same time period. All students will fully understand each section of the course before moving on to new material. On a daily basis, you will learn about the refrigeration cycle, components, how to install units, trouble shoot, fix problems, and become EPA certified. They will feel confident in their abilities when they have completed the a/c trade school course, and it will show not only to prospective employers, but to customers as well!
