MBA Communication Tools for Success:
Success in the classroom and in the workplace depends upon your ability to take in large amounts of information and to understand rapid-fire communication using specific business terminology and concepts. The Georgetown MBA program is pleased to partner with the Center for Language Education & Development to offer a three-week pre-term course, "Communication Tools for Success", which is designed specifically for international MBA students. This courses teaches practical techniques and effective strategies for:
- reading large volumes of business writing quickly and efficiently
- understanding rapid speech, unfamiliar accents, and idiomatic language
- negotiating project ideas and plans with your study group
- writing clear analyses of case studies
- researching and presenting a live case study
Student Activities:
There are numerous organizations available to all students and specific globally focused groups as well. This includes the Middle Eastern Graduate Association, the Asia Business Consortium, the European Business Association, the Japan Club, the Latin American Business Association, and the South Asian Business Association. International student organizations host cultural events and activities, organize trips and outings, and consider the global business opportunities in international markets. All events are open to international students and interested U.S. students.
