We are native islanders: born, raised, and educated on San Juan Island! We are identical twins who married identical twins, and love teaching together at Stillpoint School. We are both fully certificated elementary school teachers, with Master’s Degrees and specific training in Love and Logic, brain research, multiple intelligences, and authentic assessment practices. We have been teaching and working with children for more than 10 years. Our family has a rich educational background. Nearly everyone in our family is a teacher or has taught, and we are proud to be carrying on our family tradition!

Why is state approval important?
Legally, all school-aged children must be enrolled in a state-approved program. Stillpoint School is currently the only state-approved private elementary school on San Juan Island.

Location & Getting Here:
Stillpoint School is located in Friday Harbor, a town on San Juan Island, in the north west of the US State of Washington. Washington State Ferries sail between Friday Harbor and Anacortes, Washington several times per day. Friday Harbor can also be reached via ferry from Sidney, British Columbia, Canada. The Friday Harbor Airport offers an airline service & daily float planes fly from the downtown pier to Seattle's Lake Union seaplane base. On the island, there are taxis, shuttles, bicycles, and mopeds for rent.

Olympia Christian School (OCS) & Early Learning Center in Olympia in Thurston County provides loving childcare for ages 1 month through to 5 years of age. The school also teaches kindergarten through to 10th grade. We provide great teachers, classes and extra-curricular activities. Approximately 85% of our graduates go on to college.
