Live Sound and Recording (12-month Diploma / 8-month Fast Track Certificate)In the Nimbus Live Sound program, you’ll learn to use analogue and digital mixing boards, master live miking techniques, diagnose and fix problems on the fly, PA design, acoustic treatment and more. You’ll also gain hands on experience in a working venue at a weekly Nimbus powered live show.
After gaining a foundation in audio engineering, you’ll take your skills out into the city where you’ll learn to master live sound engineering at a real venue. You’ll be mentored by industry professionals in the studio and at venues across Vancouver gaining practical skills in live sound mixing and recording.
Post-Production and Game Audio (12-month Diploma / 8-month Fast Track Certificate)
The Nimbus Post-Production and Game Audio program is a mentorship based hands-on specialization program equipping you to work in the exciting world of entertainment post-production sound. Learn audio post production and video game sound design for interactive environments.
As part of the Nimbus Post & Game Audio program you’ll learn to: effectively record and edit dialogue, create believable sound FX and Foley, work with talent, mix music for linear and interactive environments, and create and edit voice overs for games, animation, film and television.Advanced Music Production (12-month Diploma Program)
Advanced Music Production (AMP) from Nimbus School of Recording Arts is a one-year audio engineering and music production diploma program designed to teach you how professionals work to create world-class recordings from beginning to end.
Courses / modules include:
- Advanced editing techniques, multiple pitch correction strategies
- Advanced mixing and mastering
- Artist and song selection, pre-production and rehearsal

Students of the Advanced Music Business program will run the Nimbus Record Label, promote albums and gain real, practical experience working with a functioning modern independent record label in Vancouver.
