English Language Summer Courses in England

ACCORD International Summer Schools:
ACCORD International Summer Schools welcomes children, teenagers, and young adults from all over the world to its three centres in the UK. We provide supervised English summer camp programs for non-native English speaking students ages 8-17 that includes an enjoyable English language learning experience - together with organised sports, activities and excursion programme. Our summer courses contain 15 hours of English lessons per week, with 7 levels of English from beginner to proficient learners.

English Language Summer Camps for Students Ages 8-21:
Our programme offers a well-balanced timetable of English tuition, sport and fun activities combined with outings to recreational and cultural centres. The school has a superb sports hall, an excellent heated indoor swimming pool and well maintained sports fields. There is also a drama/dance studio, art and cookery rooms and a first class concert/assembly hall. Course features include:

- 15 hours of English lessons per week in groups of a similar age and level (max. 14 students per class).

- 7 levels of English from beginner to proficient learners.

- Fully qualified teachers with experience teaching a younger age group and a passion for their job. Students are encouraged to get involved in class and talk as much as possible in English

- Sports, activities and excursions

- We are also now offering Family Programmes, Mini ACCORDIONS (3-5 years old) and Closed Groups all year round

Activities:
During the afternoons there is a choice of 5-8 activity options, at least two of which are non-sporting. All students are expected to participate in the programme. Activities include, for example, football, basketball, swimming, rugby, hockey, baseball, table tennis, cricket, volleyball, water polo, aerobics, trampolining, cookery, board games, drama, walk on the Downs, jewellery making, art and craft, yoga, origami, music, dance, walk to beach (and many more!).

Every Friday afternoon, students have the opportunity to visit Eastbourne town centre and/or the beach. Every Friday evening there is a BBQ followed by a formal presentation of prizes and leavers' certificates followed by a disco. Evening entertainment can include quiz games, concerts, talent contests, discos, karaoke, trip to Eastbourne Pier, to name but a few. During the course, there will be evening outings to the local cinema and to ten-pin bowling - which are included in the course fee.

Excursions:
Excursions, which change weekly, take place (usually) on a Wednesday and Sunday. A full day in London at a tourist attraction is included, as well as other places of cultural interest. Our staff always accompany students on all visits. Trips can include:

- London Museums and a coach tour of sights including Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster, etc.
- Seven Sisters and Cuckmere Haven - to include a walk along the beautiful scenic countryside to the beach 
- Hampton Court Palace, boat trip and free time in Kingston.
- Hastings - Smugglers Caves, Blue Reef Aquarium, Hastings Castle and the 1066 Story 
- Train to London - Buckingham Palace, lunch in St James Park, go to the theatre to see the musical Wicked
- Hever Castle, grounds and water maze
- London Eye, Thames River boat cruise, sightseeing in Westminster and shopping
- Thorpe Park Theme Park
- Oxford - walking tour shopping and optional punting
- Brighton - sightseeing, beach and shopping
- Tour of Westminster Abbey, sightseeing and shopping

All excursions, including entrance fees and tickets, are included in the weekly course fee. There are no additional costs.
