Acorn International Summer School, Bristol:
Quality academic summer boarding courses in the UK for children and teenagers! Situated close to the historic city of Bristol in the south west of England, Acorn International Summer School (AISS) is an accredited, family-run summer boarding school for UK and international students including Juniors (ages 5-11), and Seniors (ages 11-15). We provide unique academic summer programmes in July and August for 2 or 4 weeks.

International Summer School for UK & International Children - ages 5-15:
- Held in July and August. Students can attend for 2 or 4 weeks

- All courses are combined with specialist sports tuition, activities & excursions 

Academic English & Primary Subject Tuition for International Students:
We offer one standard academic course for international students which is then adapted and modified, depending on the age and ability of students.

It combines 20 hours of academic English and cross-curriuclar primary subject tuition with 5 hours of specialist sports lessons.

- Junior Academic English Program (ages 5-11)

- Senior Academic English Program (ages 11-15)

We have developed a highly successful and specialist programme to help seniors aged 11 – 15 years learn English each summer.

With high staff to student ratios we allow children on our senior programme to grow in confidence and independence whilst at the same time maintaining high standards of supervision and care. This is an area many parents have told us they are concerned about when their children join ordinary senior programmes around the UK.  

Everything from the lessons, classrooms and food to the trips, activities and staff is tailored to meet the exact needs of 11- 15 year olds to allow for maximum progress in learning English.

Tuition for British Children:
All of our morning sessions are hands-on, engaging and interesting and include the full range of subjects from the British Primary Curriculum such as science, arts and crafts, sport, cookery, drama, ICT, music, story writing and more.

After an inspiring and engaging morning of sessions led by our fully qualified primary trained teachers, afternoons are then spent participating in specialist sports classes, junior adventure activities, educational and leisure trips, and more.
