Our Philosophy:

At the heart of our philosophy is an awareness of the need for performing artists and those who make performance possible to collaborate creatively and integrate with their peers. This relationship between disciplines provides a solid foundation for our students to understand and reflect upon their role as a creative individual.

The synergy between performers, producers, managers, designers and technicians enables our students to replicate industry practice, giving a better understanding of the business they are entering into.

This collaboration occurs within our curriculum, culminating in 2 seasons of public performances, and naturally through the extra-curricular activity of our students. This synergy between students, courses and ideas prepares our students for a lasting career in the performing arts economy.

It’s a student-oriented-city, which welcomes its overall student population of around 70,000, ensuring you’ll always find somewhere great to socialise and meet new people.

Accommodation:
Halls of residence-style housing is usually the most popular accommodation, when you are in your first year. There are plenty of these, within five to fifteen minutes’ walk. We do not have our own student accommodation, but our partnership arrangements with the local providers means that you have lots of choice. All of these are self-catering.

In the second and third year, you might opt for sharing accommodation with other students within the private rented sector. Along with the other universities in Liverpool, we are affiliated to Liverpool Student Homes, which co-ordinates privately owned flats and houses available for rent in the city.
