The Learning Experience, East Sussex:
Welcome to the fastest and most comprehensive way to learn English. The Learning Experience is a group of UK expert English Teachers aiming to provide the best learning experience in the shortest possible time. We are based in East Sussex, South East England, in a small town called Battle in the district of Rother, 50 miles southeast of London and 30 miles east of Brighton. Our aim is to provide a high level of English teaching to those who require a fast learning approach or special full care. We are not a holiday resort but a small group of expert teachers aiming to provide the best learning experience in the shortest possible time by focusing one hundred percent on the language and culture in the UK. Time is money, so we only teach one to one and just one person at a time to ensure full attention is devoted to individual needs and targets are reached before expected.

Alex is an Economics graduate and a qualified teacher of both English and Spanish as a Foreign Language. She has a wide range of experience and has been working as a teacher, translator and interpreter for over twenty five years. In recent years she has concentrated on teaching English to business students, executives and children, not always a very different task! Miguel has almost three decades of experience working in the automotive sector as a CEO in small and medium sized companies and in many start-up enterprises. He has worked as a consultant to several companies in Spain, the UK, the US and further afield. He is a fluent English speaker.

Courses:
One to One English lessons; Intensive English; Business English; Executive English. Our Courses include activities, excursions and sport programmes. One of our more popular courses is our “Golfing English” option.

We provide an annexe bedsit for executive clients which will have its own bathroom, a small kitchenette, a large study/workspace and a bedsitting room. We also offer a sunny and cheerful private room with a study area and use of private bathroom facilities in the main house.

Apart from the many country walks, there are ample opportunities in the area to partake in all types of sports:

Golf:
For golf enthusiasts we have at least half a dozen golf courses within a ten kilometre radius.

Water Sports:
As you can imagine, being so close to the coast, we have a network of little and larger rivers and lakes where you can go fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing or just dabble your feet in the water.

Horse riding:
Horse riding is a popular country pursuit and we have many stables in the area from which you might wish to hire a horse and hack through the lovely Sussex countryside.

Wine:
English wines are beginning to gain an international reputation and we have several wineries in the Kent and Sussex area.  If you enjoy something different why not try a tour of the local vineyards.

Cuisine:
Do you like food and would you like to go on a journey of discovery around the local foods of the area? There are several farmers’ markets in Sussex and Kent and an abundance of local farm shops which you might like to sample. Try some Stinking Bishop on a chunky piece of bread washed down with a pint of the local Scrumpy. Alternatively, or additionally, try supplementing your English classes with lessons in British cuisine – yes it does exist – and cookery.
