School of Contemporary Chinese Studies, University of Nottingham: The School of Contemporary Chinese Studies, University of Nottingham is located in Nottingham, in Nottinghamshire County in the East Midlands of England (approximately 2 hours north of London). It is the only academic school in the UK to focus specifically on contemporary China. We offer a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level to students from the UK, Europe and around the world.
Nottingham is a culturally diverse city which boasts a large student population and a wealth of business and industry. Visitors and city residents will find there is huge amount to do and see in and around Nottingham: history, culture, country parks, sport, shopping and dining, local events, nights out.

By bus:

By tram:
A recent and welcome addition to the city's transport system is the tram network run by Nottingham Express Transit. The route currently runs from Nottingham Train Station through the city centre and out to Hucknall. The Government has recently given the go-ahead for phase two of the tram network which should hopefully be completed by 2013. One of the proposed routes for phase two runs from the city to The University of Nottingham Campus and out towards Beeston and Chilwell. See the proposed tram route in PDF format.
By bicycle:
Nottingham has great places to cycle, including canals, parks and nature spots and the National Watersports Centre. The city also has an extensive network of cycle routes and cycle parking which makes getting around by bike enjoyable and hassle-free. By road:
Nottingham is situated near the M1 Motorway with access from junctions 24, 25 and 26. The M6 is also easy to get to from Nottingham and the A1, which runs from London to Edinburgh, passes through Nottinghamshire.
By rail:
Frequent rail services run from Nottingham to major UK cities, including London every 30 minutes. The completion of the Eurostar connection at London's St Pancras International means that passengers are less than a five hour train journey from Paris. National Express run a number of coach services to many UK destinations from Nottingham and frequent connections from other cities can get you abroad cheaply and easily.
By plane:
There are flights to an exciting range of national and international destinations from East Midlands Airport, one of the UK’s fastest growing airports. A number of budget airlines run services from East Midlands, which is only 40 minutes from Nottingham city centre on the 24 hour Skylink bus service.
