Lower School:

The lower program at McKinney Christian Academy is designed to incorporate Biblically based education to support the upper school program at MCA by laying a solid foundation for learning that lends to the growth in a child's spiritual, intellectual, and social development, which is critical to their future academic success.

Upper School:
McKinney Christian Academy focuses on Christian worldview training and biblical integration across the disciplines. In addition to a focus on teaching students to think from a biblical perspective, MCA also emphasizes critical thinking skills and a multi-sensory learning environment. The academic year is divided into two semesters, each 18 weeks in length. Grades are reported at 9-week intervals.

9th through 11th grade MCA students are required to take the PSAT and PLAN in October of each academic year. First through eighth grade students take the Stanford Achievement Test in April.

We offer a wide range of honors courses. AP courses include AP Calculus, AP American Literature, AP Language & Composition, AP US History.

Athletics:

McKinney Christian Academy fields competitive athletic teams in many sports including football, volleyball, cheerleading, cross country, basketball, track and field, softball, baseball, golf, wrestling and power-lifting.

Monart Art Studio is located in Pearland, within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area in Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Harris counties, Texas. We offer art and drawing classes for children of three years upwards based on the acclaimed Monart Method. Subjects include basic and intermediate drawing, drawing fundamentals, graphic design, watercolours, cartooning. Monart is more than a method that teaches people how to draw. Leading educators recognize Monart as a teaching system that helps students to focus and concentrate, make decisions, solve problems, sequence and develop hand-eye coordination.
