Image of Study Abroad Summer Programs for College StudentsAll academic courses are accredited through Lesley University. Lesley is a diverse, coeducational university based in Cambridge, MA, with learning sites in 23 states and in Israel. You can earn 3-4 credits per summer course. All Lesley University students integrate significant "hands-on" internships throughout all four years of study as a fundamental component of their undergraduate experience.

Students receive their grades, credits and transcripts from Lesley University and can easily transfer credit to their home institution. As our University of Record, Lesley does a full academic review of our courses, syllabi and professors. Our interdisciplinary approach to education combines the best of traditional academic, experiential and service learning, while taking students out of the classroom and into the real world environment. To maximize the experience, we intertwine our studies with practical applications in the natural environments and cultural framework of the places we travel.

Staff:

The strength and success of any academic course relies on the quality of the staff. Our primary academic instructors have at least a master’s degree or Ph.D. in their program’s field of study. Our co-leaders are top-notch — energetic, friendly, genuine, fun, well-educated and well-traveled. They all share a love for working with young adults, as well as a passion for experiential learning and teaching. Our knowledgeable professors, staff and instructors, intensive staff training and years of experience in running trips abroad sets Broadreach College apart from many other study abroad and travel college programs.

Broadreach College staff and advisors will support students throughout the study abroad process from their headquarters in the U.S.A. Enrollment advisors can assist you with program choice, applications, financing, credit transfer approval and travel arrangements. All of our programs have a Program Coordinator onsite who provides orientation to the location and culture, academic advising and support, as well as logistical support and guidance during travel.

Using the Tools of Creative Writing, Memoir, Art, Photography, Storytelling and Mindfulness.

We teach from the point of view that people are by nature creative and that creativity, like DNA, is unique to each individual. We believe that in the right atmosphere and with the right tools anyone can tap into the creative stream that runs through us all.

To help you access and develop your creativity, we have developed a progression of exercises and techniques that explore sense perceptions, free-form writing and drawing, associative thinking, mapmaking, constructive daydreaming, memory, collage, and photography.

The only requirements for attending our workshops are curiosity and a desire to explore the creative spirit inherent to us all.
