Conveniently located in central San Mateo CA, just 30 minutes from downtown San Francisco in San Mateo County, Peninsula Temple Beth El: Ganon Preschool & Daycare is a quality early-childhood education center, which incorporates Jewish values, caters for children from the age of 12 weeks to 5 years. Unlike many other daycare and preschools in the area, we are open year-round, and open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Our play-based curriculum is blended with developmentally appropriate concepts which address the overall development of your child.
Early Childhood Education Programs for Kids ages 3-months to 5-years
Infant Daycare Program: 3-12 Months
While some child care providers may refer to taking care of our youngest students as “daycare”, we strive to provide a setting that goes above and beyond this notion. For the 3-12 month program our experienced staff will provide a warm, nurturing environment as your child grows and becomes familiar with his or her surroundings.
Our infant classroom, which was recently remodeled, is surrounded with age appropriate toys, rockers, blankets and other items that will make him or her feel at home. All staff and parents are required to remove their shoes before entering the room to ensure as clean and safe environment for our infants as possible.
Toddler Preschool Program (13-24 months)
At 13 months your toddler will make the transition to one of our two 13-24 month classes. Your child will look forward to the numerous toys and activities that are planned throughout the day.
Whether it’s arts and crafts, a weekly visit from a professional children’s musician or school supplied snack time, your child will be learning and growing in a safe environment. Our parents have found our specially designed, extremely large, under 2 only playground to be the highlight of many kids’ days.
Preschool Program: Two Year Olds
At Ganon Early Childhood Education Center we have designed an outstanding program to meet the needs of your 2 year old. Our “Twos” program consists of a play-based curriculum with a goal of really helping a 2 year old as he or she develops.
Whether this is getting your child started on counting and learning the ABCs, learning how to socialize more with other kids or even assisting with the transition from diapers through toilet training, our experienced staff will help your child to reach their full potential. Our outstanding lesson plans and themes are taught throughout the year and center around creative playing, art projects and story time.
Preschool Program: 3-5 Year Olds
Ganon Early Childhood Center’s program for 3-5 year old is based around a play-based curriculum that focuses on getting your child prepared for elementary school. Our oldest students learn in a combined age classroom. This follows many current teaching philosophies that children can learn better when older students work with younger ones in a supportive environment.
As with all ages in our school, the children enjoy a very rich group of activities to both educate and allow the kids to grow in a fun atmosphere. Your 3-5 year old will never have a dull moment as a student at Ganon. Our experienced teachers prepare very thorough lesson plans based around themes. Many of the activities for a given week will center around the week’s theme; these can range from art projects to math games to quiet reading time.

Small Fry Dance Club offers a preschool dance program in Foster City in San Mateo County, CA. Our dance program is designed to give young students a survey style class that covers basics in tap, ballet, jazz, creative movement, and yoga. Our goal is to help each student find a place for dance in their life. No matter what the degree of each child's dance goals, discovering movement should be nothing but empowering. Through dance, Small Fry teaches children to be creative, physically fit, flexible, confident, and artistic.Small Fry Dance Club was founded by Jana Chapeton in early 2007. We have had 1,000 plus students come through the program at over 20 different schools. We have also been nominated as "Best Dance School" by Best of The Bay TV (2009).
All of our teachers have extensive education and experience teaching dance, performance, and motor skills to preschool and school age students. Twice a year, Small Fry dancers have the chance to participate in our company performances.
