First United Methodist Church Preschool, Upland:
Conveniently situated in Upland, San Bernardino County CA, First United Methodist Church Preschool provides early childhood education programs to children ages 2 years, 6 months old to 5 years of age. Our preschool is a church-operated school, and is licensed by the State of California. Classes are held from 8:45-11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday as well as 12:45 – 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, with a variety of enrollment options available. We are located on the corner of Euclid Avenue and C Street in beautiful, historic downtown Upland.
Christian preschool programs for kids ages 2.5 - 5:
The school is open to any child, provided the preschool can meet the needs of that child. Enrollment in the Preschool will be granted with no discrimination in regard to sex, race, color, ethnic origin, or creed to political belief. The preschool calendar year coincides with the Upland Unified School District August through June.
There are several enrollment choices available:
A Two mornings a week 8:45 to 11:45 (T-Th)
B. Two afternoons a week 12:45 to 3:30 (T-Th)
C. Full day T-Th only 8:45 to 3:30
D. Three mornings a week 8:45 to 11:45 (MWF)
E. Five mornings a week 8:45 to 11:45 (M-F)
"Early Start" is offered Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for $5.00 per day. The Preschool will provide juice and 1 extra hour of supervised activities. Parents provide a peanut/tree nut free breakfast snack. This program can be added on a drop in basis.
“Lunch Bunch” is offered Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. for $5.00 per day. The Preschool provides juice and 1 extra hour of supervised activities. Parents provide the peanut/tree nutfree lunch. This program can be added to any enrollment choice listed above.
Curriculum:
Within a Christian atmosphere the staff seeks to teach readiness skills in reading, math and writing, a beginning exploration of science, music and art appreciation and a weekly language experience in Spanish. Creative play, traffic safety, field trips, nutritional morning snacks and interdenominational Christian education are also part of the program. This includes an anti-bias multi-cultural curriculum.
The preschool program is organized to nurture in children a positive self image where they can work, learn and play with companions of their own age in a friendly, happy, atmosphere, where there is cooperative democratic living and where children can gain new skills, appreciation and good habits.
- Amazing Athletes - Coach Brian teaches the sports program and incorporates physical fitness, muscle tone & gross motor skills through 9 different sports.
- Art Appreciation - Monthly, we explore famous paintings with the children, then incorporate the paint colors of this masterpiece into the easel for your child to create their own work of art.
- Spanish Experience - Weekly 15 minute enrichment sessions that include songs, stories, and games that develop concepts in Spanish.

Montessori Country Academy is a child care center offering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children ages 18 months to 6 years in Elk Grove, Sacramento County.
