Our Mission:

At Seven Hills, our mission is, “to develop the intellect, engage the spirit and foster respect for and responsibility to our world". We are a community of parents, educators and students who are committed to lifelong learning. We support educators who value professional development, lead each other and their peers to best practices, and accomplish all of this in a spirit of collegiality.

Education Programs:

- Early Childhood Programs:
The preschool and pre-kindergarten half day programs build self-esteem and help develop in children the ability to cooperate and work with others.

- Lower School Program:
Kindergarten through 5th grade students develop skills and confidence in the exploration of math, science, reading, and writing as they strive to meet high academic standards.

- Middle School Program:  For 6th to 8th graders we've built a challenging curriculum that develops competence in key areas.

* Kindergarten - 8th grade specialty classes offered include:  Art, Music, PE, Spanish, French, Library, Computer, Transitions.

Extended Day Program: This program is offered until 6:00 pm daily, excluding school holidays.

Buddy Family Program:
To ensure that families new to the school feel “right at home” a Buddy Family from the new student’s grade is asked to “adopt” the entire family. Families get together before the start of school and throughout the year, making sure that the newest families in our school become part of our community quickly and seamlessly. The program is coordinated by a parent volunteer and is ongoing.

Big Buddies Program:
Our Big Buddies program is the bridge between our multi-aged student body. Beginning with the preschoolers, Big Buddies are paired up one on one between older and younger students.

School Life:

At Seven Hills, there is so much more than classroom academics. From community service to after school enrichment programs or a parent-student book club to the community lecture series, Seven Hills offers an enriching educational experience beyond the classroom. Our faculty, staff, students, and parents take pride in knowing that Seven Hills offers a whole child approach to education.

We are an inclusive community and stress compassion, social awareness and diversity. The school provides opportunities for leadership and service that culminate in positive contributions to the world beyond our fences.

Athletics:

Seven Hills School has a strong commitment to its after school athletic program for both girls and boys. We have a “no-cut” policy and participation is open to all academically and behaviorally eligible students. It is our intention that the program be both inclusive and competitive. For many sixth graders, the Seven Hills’ sports program is their introduction to a new menu of opportunities.

We love to give our students experiences that help them find hidden talents and encourage them to take valuable risks. The athletic program is designed with that in mind. Our middle school students are encouraged to participate in one of the many programs offered throughout the year.

We are an independent, co-educational school for students in preschool through eighth grade. We serve families in San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area communities. Children’s Day School provides children with an education that reveals itself not only in how well children write, think mathematically and investigate questions, but also in how much they love school, their classmates and their environment.

Can such a school maximize academic achievement? Yes. And our students’ standardized test scores and high school placements back up that answer. We are proving that happy children make better learners. At Children’s Day School, academic achievement is only one learning goal. Integrity, love of learning, social competence and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others are equally important. This is our idea of what education is all about. Creation Station Huntington Beach
Courses / Programs
Based in Fountain Valley, Orange County, CA, Creation Station Huntington Beach offers a wildly creative dance school concept for kids and teens which provides movement-based dance programs starting at age 18 months. Our creative teaching techniques combined with a carefully structured syllabus is what makes Creation Station the most popular dance and enrichment program for toddlers and young children on both coasts.

The non-competitive atmosphere, the use of hundreds of props and costumes, along with the small class size allows children to tap into their imagination in a way vastly different from most other dance schools. Creation Station students don't really realize they are learning traditional technique while in class. Due to the way the syllabus is set up, most children and their parents just think it is all fun and games.

Along with learning basic terminology and specific movements geared toward a specific discipline, we take a developmental approach to teaching. We have realistic and age appropriate expectations for the children.
