Since the inception of the school in February 2008, the faculty and parents have been working very hard to realize these goals. Our school is located in Walnut Creek in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, 16 miles east of Oakland. The Art of Learning Academy is a private co-educational school in Northridge in Los Angeles County, CA, serving students in grades 6-12 from Reseda, Canoga Park, Winnetka, North Hills and surrounding communities. Bay Area School of Enterprise (BASE) is a Charter Public School located on Third Street in Alameda, CA. The first youth-initiated charter high school in the country, BASE provides an environment in which youth take ownership of their own learning and change their own lives as they change the community around them.
