St. Stanislaus College Preparatory, founded in 1854, is a private Catholic school located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast 50 miles east of New Orleans, Louisiana. Operated by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, the school specializes in building character and helping young men in grades 7-12 develop to their full potential and become happy, self-confident, well-educated adults. St. Stanislaus is one of the largest Catholic resident high schools for boys in the United States. Over the years, students from 52 countries and 42 states have profited from the rich education and character building offered by St. Stanislaus.

Our Mission:

The mission of St. Stanislaus College Preparatory, a Catholic resident and day school for young men in Grades 7 - 12, is to teach Gospel values and to nurture the total development of each and every student according to the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.

The school fosters character formation and integrates faith development within a curriculum that is primarily college preparatory.

As an integral part of its mission, St. Stanislaus maintains a resident program that offers students opportunities for educational success and personal growth within a disciplined and structured environment.

Accreditation:

Accreditation: Mississippi State Department of Education, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Mississippi High School Activities Association, Catholic Boarding Schools Association, National Catholic Education Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Residential / Boarding School for Boys (Grades 7-12):

- St. Stanislaus College conducts a junior high program (7th - 8th grades) and a four-year high school program (9th - 12th grades). Students must complete four years of high school studies in order to graduate.

- The curriculum is primarily college preparatory. Because of the wide variety of interests, needs and abilities found among students, the curriculum is regularly evaluated and revised. We offer Math, Science, English, Religion, Social Studies, Foreign Language, ESL, Computer Education, Business and Fine Arts.

- In order to encourage each student to work to his fullest potential, to use his talents more effectively, and to give himself a broader education, we provide honors and advanced placement courses.

- Besides our full-time ESL Program, we offer a 4 week ESL Camp which includes morning ESL classes, afternoon cultural activities, and weekend cultural field trips.

Honors Program:

St. Stanislaus is proud to challenge an academically qualified student with the honors and advanced placement courses in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Upon successful completion, each specified course merits 0.04 additional quality points added to cumulative grade point averages.

In order to encourage each student to work to his fullest potential, to use his talents more effectively, and to give himself a broader educations, St. Stanislaus provides an honors program for students in grades 10 through 12. Upon successful completion of the honors curriculum, the student receives an honors diploma at graduation.

Rock-A-Chaw Athletics:

- To develop in a student the ability to think both as an individual and as a member of a group
- To improve his motor skills, general health and physical fitness
- To instill in him the desire to excel and succeed
- To give him an appreciation of wholesome recreation and entertainment
- To challenge him to live out high moral and ethical standards

French Camp Academy
Courses / Programs
Located 80 miles north of Jackson, Mississippi, French Camp Academy (FCA) is a private, Christian coeducational boarding school for children from 1st to 12th Grades. Established in 1885, FCA is accredited through the Mississippi Department of Education.

We are a joyful Christian community that provides young people and families from all over the country an opportunity to heal from difficult circumstances at home, school, or in the community.

Although FCA is not considered a therapeutic boarding school, it just may be the place that you are looking for if your child or teen is in need of an affordable and alternative Mississippi boarding school.

Our educational program is balanced, Christ-centered and academically excellent. It includes academic classes, vocational training, radio communication skills, an observatory, a full sports program, and an active music & arts program for Grades 7-12.

Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Mississippi and across the United States.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.

TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
Evangel House Christian Academy

Located in St. Martinville, 18 miles southeast of Lafayette, Louisiana, Evangel House Christian Academy (EHCA) is an accredited Therapeutic Boarding School for girls in Grades 6-12.

We cater for students with mild mood or behavior disorders, substance abuse, academic issues or family problems. Our 12-18 month program encompasses a choice of Vocational, General, or College Preparatory High School Diploma options.

Ozark Adventist Academy, Gentry
Courses / Programs
Located in the foothills of the beautiful Ozark Mountains between Gentry and Siloam Springs in Benton County in Northwest Arkansas, Ozark Adventist Academy is a co-educational boarding high school for Grades 9-12 with a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere.

OAA is owned and operated by the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is fully accredited with the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities, and by the Arkansas Nonpublic Schools Accrediting Association.

We offer a college preparatory curriculum with SAT, ACT, Honors and Advanced Placment courses as well as a scholarship program. Choosing Ozark Adventist Academy for boarding school years is a choice of belonging to a school family with a special mission and commitment.

Saving Youth Foundation, Mobile
Courses / Programs
Saving Youth Foundation (SYF) is a Christian boarding school in Mobile, Alabama. Run by former military men and women, we provide a safe home environment for troubled boys and girls ages 10-18 who have lost sight of a clear and positive future.

We teach kids and teens who are struggling with anger management, depression, drug abuse, eating disorders, or conditions such as ADD, ADHD, ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder) among others.

SYF has an 80% pass/ fail rate with fully-accredited academics. We use the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E) in home school module. A student at SYF can receive a high school diploma. We are physically active with the kids and do things like running, marching and drills. The boys and girls facility are completely separated.

We are faith-based, designed to instill integrity, accountability, responsibility, and character while providing the teen girl or boy behavioral counseling and a quality education. In our residential and academic program, many will learn to reach for their highest potential while being given the tools and education to do so. We can accept tuition rates and low as $2,000 per month.
