Evangel House Christian Academy:
Evangel House Christian Academy (EHCA), located in St. Martinville (18 miles southeast of Lafayette), Louisiana, is an accredited Therapeutic Boarding School for girls with mild mood or behavior disorders, substance abuse, academic issues or family problems offering Grades 6-12.

Accreditation:

Our curriculum is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS), and the Committee for International and Trans-regional Accreditation (CITA).

We are also accredited by Teen Challenge, USA, National Association of Therapeutic Schools & Programs; Louisiana District Assemblies of God Home Missions and the Louisiana Department of Education Non-Public Schools.

Year-round Open Enrollment:
Evangel House all girls private boarding school is a twelve-month year-round school which means your daughter may be admitted at any point in the year. Assisting parents who need immediate assistance is anticipated.

The Profile Student Attending EHCA:
Our school is structured with the christian family in mind. The profile EHCA student has come from a successful christian home, but may have recently struggled in her spiritual relationship with God.

Most EHCA students have a history of demonstrating great potential. Most have been involved in church, youth group, and may have even gone on mission's trips or other outreaches.

Their history of success is usually overshadowed by current choices and behavior problems. Parents enroll their daughter to take action before the problems become more serious. Some problems are given DSM-IV diagnoses such as major depression, ADD, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, and other mood or learning disorders. The problems can take on different forms, but a key factor is that the outward behaviors are symptoms of an internal struggle.

Location:
Louisiana is located in the southern region of the US, on the Gulf of Mexico, bordered to the west by Texas, to the north by Arkansas, and to the east by Mississippi. St. Martinville lies on Bayou Teche, 16 miles south of Breaux Bridge, 18 miles southeast of Lafayette, 9 miles north of New Iberia, and 105 miles west of New Orleans. Air transportation is available from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Louisiana and across the United States.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.
