Winchester Thurston School actively engages each student in a challenging and inspiring learning process that develops the mind, motivates the passion to achieve and cultivates the character to serve.
History:
In 1935, Winchester Thurston School was formally created by a merger of the Winchester School (founded in 1902) and Thurston School (founded in 1887). The school earned a national reputation for establishing and advancing the highest ideals for female intellectual, personal and athletic achievement. The Main Building at the City Campus opened in the fall of 1963 with 350 students.
A new science wing opened in 1987. The North Hills Campus opened in 1988. In 1991, the Board of Trustees recognized a growing body of research advocating co-educational environments in which neither boys nor girls are compromised by their gender. That initial class of 65 boys grew to gender parity within a decade.

Rock & Roll After School is a year-round private school and innovative music program in Montgomery County PA where kids ages 7-18 can learn guitar, bass, drums, piano, and vocals. We also provide a preschool program (for ages 2-7) as well as a 1-week music Summer Camp.In our dedicated Band Program, kids can join a band and rehearse for a performance in our professional venue. Located just west of Philadelphia in Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, The Media Theatre - Broadway Musical Theater Camp offers theatre, acting and voice classes for young children of six years upwards as well as teenagers. Students develop an ability to improvise and to bring one's own personal and honest response to the text or the script. All acting classes within The Media Theatre School of The Theatre follow and 8-week schedule are based on the Sanford Meisner Technique, which follows the mantra "Acting is living as truthfully as one can under an imaginary circumstance."We also offer acting classes and theatre workshops during winter, spring and summer school breaks. In the summer we offer two week acting camps. This intensive, two-week day camp is a fun, enriching and rewarding experience. Campers write, design, and perform an improvisational theatre production that is performed on the Media Theatre stage for family, friends and the general public. The School of Theatre has been noted for it's professionalism and commitment to solid training for a career in the professional theatre.
