Summer Camp for Kids & Young Teens in Chicago, IL

Child's Play Touring Theatre:
Child's Play Touring Theatre, based in Chicago, Illinois, is a touring theatre for children offering summer camps for children aged 7-14. We provide children with the opportunity to create original stories and poems, adapt them from page to stage, and perform an original production for family and friends. Encouraging skills in ensemble building, self-esteem, awareness and problem solving, Child’s Play teaching artists, inspire campers by providing instruction in writing, acting, improvisation, juggling, movement, dance, and music.

Summer Camp Program:
Summer Camps are held each year starting in June, providing a safe and creative environment for children 7-14.

Drama Classes:
You will be working with Child’s Play teaching artists to learn and develop skills in:

- Acting; Improvisation; Singing; Dancing; Tai-chi!

Final Performance:
You will also write, rehearse and stage a final performance - which your family and friends are invited to attend. This final performance will include a few of Child’s Play favorite repertory pieces that we have collected over the years, and will also feature WORLD PREMIERE plays, songs and dances created from stories and poems written by you and your fellow student artists. More information about the final performance will be given when camp begins.
