Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE): Located in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) provides a range of academic summer programs for prospective undergraduate students who are currently in high school. Our week-long Engineering, Nursing, and Business summer courses give participants the opportunity to experience life on campus, and learn about the various Degree courses offered by MSOE. Courses are specifically designed for prospective undergraduates who are interested in studying with MSOE in the future.
Academic Summer Programs for High School Students: Engineering Programs: Duration: 1 week This course is for students who are Interested in learning more about engineering, but are not sure which degree to pursue. Participants choose a degree program from the list below to focus on for a week:
Focus on Nursing: Duration: 1 week During your Summer Nursing program experience, students learn about:
- Hands-on activities in MSOE’s state-of-the-art laboratory - History of nursing and health promotion - Explore and experience simulation in nursing - Introduction to various nursing specialties and levels of nursing (CAN to Ph.D.) - Discover nursing technology in the 20th century
Focus on Business: Duration: 1 week Modules / features include:
- Financial and economic aspects in business - Integrated marketing strategies - Leadership and teamwork in business - Market-oriented mission statements - Professional presentation techniques
Located in Lake Geneva WI, part of the the Milwaukee-Racine-Waukesha Statistical Area, Covenant Harbor provides a wide range of Christian summer camp programs. Our traditional, activity-based camps are designed for boys and girls in Grades K-12.
Our camps allow children to experience Jesus outside the home and church, offering a special experience with our trained staff to see the love of Christ. With camps for different ages and of different lengths, you’re sure to find the right fit for everyone in your family.
Hosted on campus at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor MI, iD Tech Camps offers week-long day & overnight summer camps for kids and teens (ages 7-17). Our MI technology and computer science camps immerse students in the collegiate experience. Students build STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills in our tech labs, eat in the university dining hall, explore the UM campus, and make friends for life! These highly-stimulating summer tech camps are suitable for beginner through advanced learners, and cover popular subjects such as video game design, robotics, mobile applications, programming, and web design among others. Courses are designed so that you can register for one or multiple weeks (further camps).

Courses / Programs
The Office of Gifted and Talented Education has been providing programming for academically able students for over 20 years. We offer academic year and summer programming for middle and high school students (grades 7 - 12).
All programs are instructed by MSU professors. Residential programs provide a 10:1 ratio of students to Resident Hall Assistant. Resident Assistants provide 24 hours supervision on students. Many programs include evening enrichment activities as well as use of campus facilities. Academic criteria must be met for each program. Partial scholarships are available.

MiBytes is a computer summer camp for high school students sponsored and run by the Computer Science and Engineering Division of the University of Michigan (UM) in Ann Arbor. Technology has seeped into every aspect of our lives – from using a computer, to playing with apps on our smart phones, to launching a rocket into space.
The world would be so different without computer science. Enrich your summer by attending MiBytes computer science summer camp.
Attend Tinkering with Mobile Apps for a week of fun and hands-on introduction to computer science (CS)! This program is perfect for students curious about exploring the basics of CS. This program introduces the fundamental principles of CS by building a working mobile app with MIT App Inventor. Express your creativity and discover what they are capable of in this program.
Hacking in a Digital World is designed to cover a broader range of topics in an exciting 2-week period. Campers will learn about robotics, app development, microcontrollers and even cybersecurity. Learn how to keep your information secure online, and what it’s like to hack a website. Programming experience is encouraged before attending this program, but not required.

These are non-residential programs that include campus tours, field trips to local tech companies and other recreational activities immersing students into the college experience.
