Welcome to Western Australia’s premier college for gifted arts students, located in Fremantle. As Western Australia’s only selective Arts school, John Curtin College of the Arts is the premier college for gifted arts students. Our suite of Arts programs and an Arts-infused curriculum extend students’ creative talents and enhance their academic education.

Rich in the history of Fremantle and the Arts, we have been offering programs for gifted and talented dance and drama students since 1973. We now offer seven Arts programs: Arts media, Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Drama, Music, Music Theatre and Visual Arts.

Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities, specialist teachers and links to tertiary and industry bodies. They participate in classes with other gifted students who share their passion and desire to excel.

The opportunity to participate in these elite programs is only given to the most gifted and talented arts students in Western Australia. An innovative, stimulating and rewarding education and supportive learning environment awaits your child.

Exceptional facilities enable your child to access diverse performance opportunities.

Our state-of-the-art performing arts facility is located on campus. The fully resourced, 450 seat Curtin Theatre is superbly equipped for theatrical, dance and musical performances.

This modern theatre is ideal for teaching young people. Students experience all aspects of high quality performance production, from stage management, to costume design.

Students also have access to the college’s Ellen Street Theatre for small and intimate productions.

These facilities are complemented by three dance and rehearsal studios, an art studio and a television studio.

Rings Road Art Studio is a privately owned working art studio in Moorabbin, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. We offer tutored and untutored drawing and painting classes for adults at beginner and intermediate levels. We also offer portfolio preparation classes for teenagers and adults. Classes will assist participants at all levels of skill and experience to develop observational and interpretive methods in drawing and painting. The aim is to teach students foundational skills that will enable them to further their own artistic pursuits, whether it is advancing to tertiary level fine art studies or pursuing their own personal interests.

The objective at Rings Road Art Studio is to enable students to learn skills and techniques required for art production by focusing and encouraging the development of students’ technical ability. Classes provide the opportunity for students to enhance their artistic awareness through various processes of seeing and by working in a range of media. In all classes students will discover aspects of historical and contemporary concepts in art through their own production of artworks.

Sydney College of the Arts (SCA) is the visual arts faculty of the University of Sydney. SCA is a premier provider of contemporary art education and research around the world offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in contemporary visual arts. SCA’s student population is diverse and one in six students are international students.

Leading the research and practice of contemporary art in Australia since 1976, SCA delivers innovative educational programs that support the professional success of graduates.
