Founded in 1870 by the Vincentian Fathers and serving Brooklyn Diocese for over a century at St. John's Preparatory School we are committed to its long tradition of excellence. Although academic achievement is the primary goal of a high school, the St. John’s Prep community recognizes the importance of a solid and cultural development of the student. A wide-range of athletic and extra-cunicular activities are offered at the Prep. Interscholastic sports are offered on the Freshmen, Junior Varsity and Varsity Levels.
An intramural sports program with floor hockey, handball, basketball, ping-pong, touch football and volleyball as well asdance clubs, step-teams, cheerleading and weight and fitness clubs offer the student body wholesome recreation.

Adults and Children in Trust (A.C.T.), located on the 11-acre oasis of the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine campus on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is an education center that provides year-round educational and recreational programs for infants, children and teens from 6 months to 17 years old. At A.C.T., we work with children from the very beginning. Once children are in school, we provide families with afterschool care, holiday camps, summer camps and even party services for those special milestones in a child’s life.
