World of Discovery Summer Camp of Bayside, Queens is conveniently located at the John Golden Ball Fields in Bayside in the north-east of Queens, NY (32nd Avenue & 215th Place). We offer 2-8 week summer camp programs for children ages 4-15 years. We offer round-trip, door-to-door transportation to all neighborhoods in Queens, NY. Campers will learn to swim, play sports and go on summer camp field trips. We specialize in providing children with a safe and fun summer camp experience.

- Discovery Sports Academy: 
2-8 Week Instructional Summer Sports program (Karate, Swimming, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Football, Arts & Crafts, Weekly Trips, Video Arcade, Bowling Tournaments, Mets Game, Instructional Swim,  Movies, Track & Field, Dodgeball, Archery, Kickball, Mini-Golf, Batting Range, Rollerblading / Skating).

At Discovery Sports Academy, our goals are simple: motivate, improve skills, enhance competitive spirit, develop team players, and have fun. Our Program is designed to instruct campers in the basic techniques of a variety of sporting activities and to advance the experienced player in skills and knowledge of the game. Everyone is a "super star" at Discovery. Players are grouped by age and ability.

Our instructors design instructional drills to enhance and stress basic fundamental techniques and practice these skills through exciting intra-camp tournaments and events. We draft every camper to become part of a team, which participates in a series of round robin tournaments in basketball, baseball, soccer, kickball, and football.

Our well-rounded program offers everything from A to Z--from Arts to Zoos. Our programs are designed to stimulate your child’s imagination, creativity, physical skills, and ability to have great fun with other children. To encourage new friendships, we group campers by age.

At World of Discovery Summer Day Camp of Queens, the weather is no deterrent to fun. Our relationship with the neighborhood school gives us the best of all worlds - access to their playground, gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria, and classrooms. Indoors or outdoors, there is sure to be fun!

- Summer Camp Swimming Program (included in both programs):
Campers receive swim instruction 3-5 days per week in 30 minute intervals, accompanied by time to practice their skills during the recreational swim. Our program is separated by age group. All swimmers are individually tested and evaluated. They are placed into small groups based on their individual needs

- Discovery Summer Camp Trips:
Campers take two-three age appropriate summer day camp trips each week to places such as Yankee Stadium Tour, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, Deep Sea Fishing, Dave & Buster's, Laser Tag, the Mets Game at Citi Field, White Post Farms, Capital One Music Fair, latest summer blockbuster movies, the aquarium, children's museums, sports complexes, go-karts, historical sites, fun stations, amusement parks, skating, bowling, and other fun places that provide valuable learning experiences.

One of our most popular trips is the Discovery Charters Speed Boat. Campers get an exhilarating up close and personal tour of the Statue of Liberty and many other landmarks along the Hudson River while crusing by in a state-of-art speed boat. Campers party to the latest music and enjoy the breeze as the boat explores the waters around Manhattan Island. 

Summer Day camp Overnight Trips:
World of Discovery Day Camp of Queens has created a fun and exciting way for our senior campers to experience a summer they will never forget. We have taken the excitement of our field trip program to new heights with our Teen Tour program!

During weeks 2 - 7, campers will have the opportunity to travel on exciting late night and overnight trips. Our late night and overnight program is expanding and new and interesting trips are planned for the upcoming camp season.
