Boarding High School:

TWAI provides a standardized, grade-appropriate curriculum for high school students. Developed and taught by certified teachers, high school and college preparation courses are taught through teacher direction in a regular classroom combined with independent studies.
Specialized in the core subjects of reading, math, science, and social studies, we also offer classes in history, geography, economics, social studies and more.
We also teach life skills such as: proper nutrition, physical conditioning, food preparation, proper hygiene, and oral interpersonal communication.
TWAI’s boarding school educational expectations and standards are based on Montana state and national standards and are regularly revised and updated.
An official ACT and SAT testing site, TWAI offers these tests on quarterly basis. SAT preparation and ACT preparation classes are available.
High Academic Standards:
TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
98% of our high school graduates go on to attend trade school or college. Some of our students have gone on to attend some of the top Universities and Ivy League schools.
Program Duration:
TWAI requires a 3 months commitment, but treatment of 6 months or more will bring the best results for lasting success. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.
Accreditation:
We are accredited by National Independent Private Schools Association (NIPPSA), and Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC).
Our program is also accredited by PAARP (Private Alternative Adolescent Residential Program), NATSAP (National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs), AdvancED, AEE (Association for Experiential Education), and Character.org.
