Montessori Enrichment Center, Howell:
The Montessori Enrichment Center, an affiliate of the American Montessori Society, offers a unique, carefully prepared learning environment for children two to six years of age. Our center is located in Howell, Monmouth County, New Jersey within the New York metro area, and is licensed by the State of New Jersey under the Division of Youth and Family Services. All our teachers are Montessori Certified.
Our program, which offers a sensible balance between freedom and structure, is based on the educational method developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Learning is individualized with the direct aim of assisting the child to achieve inner discipline, independence, confidence, and self-esteem as well as consideration for others and and a love of learning.
Our children work both individually and in group from an ordered arrangement of learning materials attractively displayed on low shelves. The children receive individual attention in a happy and relaxed atmosphere where older children help the younger children.

Maria Montessori was a developmentalist. She created a teaching philosophy to coincide with the "sensitive" developmental stages of the child. 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, etc...

Sensitive Periods:
These "sensitive periods" of development highlight when a child's interest and mental capacity are best suited for learning. Maria Montessori believed to support the child's learning we must identify and then focus in on certain sensitive periods in the child's development. As the child passes through these periods, we must furnish the child with what will help them respond and learn.

The Learning Experience® (TLE) in Readington in Hunterdon County, NJ is a state of the art child development center, open year-round from 6:30 am - 6:30pm, taking children from the ages of 6 weeks to 8 years. We offer a state certified full day kindergarden program with small class sizes, large colorful classrooms and a dynamic curriculum. We have limited places available for September.The Learning Experience® was established in the state of Florida in 1979 by Michael and Linda Weissman. We are currently developing close to 80 locations within the New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Virginia markets. Step by Step is a family friendly dance studio offering quality dance education in Monmouth County, NJ. Dance classes are available for kids from the age of 2 1/2, teenagers and adults. HearMyHands provides American Sign Language workshops, classes and tutoring for all ages (babies, infants, children/students and adults) in the South/Central Jersey area.Kristy, owner, is a speech language pathologist with an extensive background in American Sign Language (ASL)and Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC). She is a masters level certified Signing Time instructor in South Jersey and has been a member of the Sign2Me Presenters Network since 2006. She currently provides workshops for school district, local groups and other organizations teaching sign language as a language and as an alternative tool for communication.
