Thinnox Design Academy, Mississauga:
Thinnox Design Academy, located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, is an academy for future designers, innovators and communicators offering long and short term programs for youth and adults. While our youth programs are about design and innovation, adult programs are about design entrepreneurship. Our career labs offer unique co-op opportunities to our students to apply their skills for the benefit of their immediate communities.

Thinnox was established on June 14, 2006 by a team of designers who wear several other hats such as animator, developer, writer, educator and entrepreneur. Thinnox Design Academy was opened to the public on November 2007. Since then the academy has grown to represent the collective experience of several leading professionals from the industry and academics who, as mentors and instructors, contribute daily to the program curriculum and facilitation.

Apprenticeships:
- Apprenticeships are granted upon application, after successful completion of a learning module or a course offered at Thinnox.
- Apprenticeships are awarded based on opportunities available with Thinnox Studios.
- All apprentices are paid for their effort; payment is commensurate with prior experience (if any) and contribution to a project.
- Apprenticeships can be of varying lengths; past apprenticeships have been generally between 4 to 8 weeks in duration.
- Apprenctices work in a team, under a project head on real-world projects.
- Successful completion of the apprenticeship period entitles you to an experience certificate and references.
