Bachelor of Architecture

Graduates will have developed specialist knowledge and skills in Innovation and Design Development, Liaison with specialist consultants, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Contract Documentation and Specifications, Building Science, Construction and Structural Design, Architectural Quantities, Estimating and Economics, Project Administration, Legal issues and Professional Practice including quality assurance and management.

Advanced Diploma of in Interior Design
The Design Institute of Australia (DIA) has established the following definitions of interior decorators.
An Interior Decorator
• embellishes space operating within an existing space;
• is involved with issues of style and aesthetics most commonly of domestic interior;
• may specify product and specify a schedule of finishes but will not usually produce drawings for construction purposes;
• works closely with furnishings, art, antiques, fabrics and colours;
• is likely to have a broad knowledge of the vast range of available products;
• does not require a degree.

On successful completion of the Certificate IV in Arts (Interior Decoration) a graduate may apply for employment as assistant decoration consultants in specialised wholesale or retail outlets or with independent interior decorators / design consultancies.

Certificate & Diploma courses in Drafting
The course covers building theory and drafting related to low rise residential scale buildings.
Graduates will have developed further specialist skills and knowledge in Construction Technology, Working Drawings, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Editing Standard Specifications, Office Practice – including quality assurance. On successful completion of the Certificate IV Residential Drafting a graduate may apply for employment as a Building or Architectural Drafter.
