The Colburn School is a non-profit independent institution located in downtown Los Angeles across from the Walt Disney Concert Hall, consisting of two divisions: a non-degree-granting School of Performing Arts (1400 students and growing) and a degree-granting (maximum 110 students). The Colburn School is a community-based school that provides music, dance and drama training from introductory to advanced levels to students from ages preschool through adult. The School of Performing Arts has existed for over 50 years; the Conservatory is in its third year.
Our mission in the School of Performing Arts emphasizes quality early education in the performing arts. We do offer classes for students as young as 1½ years of age, but there is no upper age limit for enrollment, and some of our students are adults.
