Beginner to Advanced Level English Language Courses for Adults:
SSL has 6 Levels of instruction for developing your English Language skills. Soon after you arrive, you will be given a placement exam to determine your English language skills and your appropriate academic level.

Basic Courses (Levels 100 - 200)
This class focuses on the student's ability to communicate clearly in written form. Students learn how to write paragraphs with topic sentences, supporting details, and concluding sentences. They learn basic sentence structure.

Intermediate Courses (Levels 300 - 400)
After completing Level 600, a student can converse comfortably on most subjects, read the newspaper, and write correctly in non-technical areas.

Advanced Courses (Levels 500 - 600)
Students polish their skills for university study or professional purposes. After completing Level 900, a student is ready to compete with the best American university students. Additional elective courses include:

- Business English
- TOEFL Preparation
- Communication & Culture
- One-on-One Tutor Program

Letter / Certificate of English Proficiency:
SSL will issue a letter of English proficiency or transcript/certificate only to qualified students upon request.

Class Size:
Each class has an average of 15 students. This gives each student the opportunity for a lot of interaction with the teacher.
