Scuola Tricolore is an accredited Italian language school in Genoa, an historical city located in Liguria on the north-west Mediterranean coast of Italy and in the middle of the Italian Riviera, close to Portofino and San Remo. Our school is situated in a beautifully-restored historic building in the scenic centre of Genoa, just a short walk from the seafront. You’ll learn Italian in large, bright classrooms with qualified, native Italian-speaking teachers who love their work.
We offer the following Italian language courses:
GROUP ITALIAN COURSES:
- Standard Italian cours

20 hours a week, with a maximum of 10 students; a perfect way to learn Italian and socialise (1 to 52 weeks).
- Intensive Italian course:
30 hours a week, with a maximum of 10 students; a, intensive way to learn Italian and socialise (1 to 26 weeks).
- Long-term Italian course:
20 hours a week, from 12 weeks onwards. Courses of 12, 16, 20, 24, 26, 39 and 52 weeks are offered at special discounted prices.
- Group Exam Preparation:
twice a week, 1,5 hours each time; specific exam preparation in group for CELI, CILS, CIC and PLIDA exams. Course organised twice a week, available for 4, 8, 12 or 16 weeks. Min. 3 participants.
- Evening Group Course:
twice a week, 1,5 hours each time; evening group course for those that need to study or work during the day. Course organised twice a week and available for 4, 8, 12 or 16 weeks. Min. 3 participants.
- Pesto & Cioccolato:
a standard group course (20 hrs. a week) in two different cities in Italy, namely Genoa and Turin. This course is available for 2, 4 or 6 weeks. Half the time you will spend in Genoa and the other half in Turin, without the necessity to make two separate arrangements.
MIXED ITALIAN COURSES:
- Mixed Courses:
a combination of standard group course (20) and individual classes; a perfect mix to learn intensively and to socialise at the same time. Individual hours can be chosen according to the students' needs and desires (4, 6, 8 or 10 hours a week).
- Italiano Cucinando:
20 hours group course and 2 cooking classes a week (1 to 5 weeks.
- Italiano Conversando:
20 hours group course with 2 hours conversation group class in real life situations (market, ask for the road instructions, tourist office, etc.)
INDIVIDUAL ITALIAN COURSES:
- Individual Courses (Private Italian lessons):
One-to-one lessons; a perfect way to quickly learn Italian and to learn specific topics. Three or five days, two or four hours a day (5x2, 5x4, 3x2, 3x4). All lessons completely customised.
- Exam Preparation:
2 individual lessons a week, aimed at specific preparation for CELI, CILS, CIC and PLIDA exams.
- Weekend Course:
One-to-one lessons in the weekend; for those who need to work during the week we have developed an intensive (crash) weekend courses. Completely customised to your needs. Every Saturday and Sunday 4 or 6 hours a day. Available from 1 up to 12 weeks.
Customised Italian Lessons:
The flexible system allows Scuola Tricolore to customise any individual lesson according to each student's interest or professional background.
The available subjects (individual lessons) cover a wide range of topics: Law, Egineering, Architecture, Medicine, Italian for Tourism, Business Italian, Italian Literature, Italian History, Italian Geography, Italian Art, Italian Cinema, Italian Culture & Politics and Opera.
