- KLC Diploma validated by the University of Brighton (can also be attained Full Time or by blended learning study)

This intensive course is totally career-orientated and our graduates are regularly placed with top design practices. Students will learn to evaluate, formulate and implement creative design solutions to meet the functional and aesthetic needs of the client. They will also explore the relationship of interior design to decorative styles, materials and finishes, crafts, technology and environmental considerations. Confidence is generated through a thorough grounding in the practical and technical aspects of the subject and coverage of professional practice. Projects include residential and commercial work and emphasis is increasingly placed on computer aided design.

KLC will require those students who have been accepted on the Diploma without a degree qualification to attend this Pre-Diploma Course prior to the start of their programme of study. This course will provide invaluable preparation for non-degree holding students for the highly intensive Diploma Courses and also affords the opportunity to meet fellow students in a more relaxed environment prior to the commencement of the main course. Certificate in Interior Decoration:

- Full or Part-time professional training in interior decoration

This intensive course is designed to prepare students for a professional career in interior decoration. There is often some confusion between the role of an interior designer and an interior decorator. In its simplest form, an interior designer would carry out the planning and design of a space whereas an interior decorator would advise on the style, arrangement and decoration of surfaces within that space (usually domestic), and this could include the furniture layout, colour scheme, soft furnishings, window treatments, accents and accessories.

London Atelier of Representational Art
Courses / Programs
Located in Vauxhall, London, the London Atelier of Representational Art was established in response to the rarity of rigorous representational art education and is unique in the UK with its approach to teaching the most fundamentally important aspects of drawing, painting and sculpture from life. We offer fulltime and parttime drawing, painting such as bargue drawing, cast drawing and painting, portrait drawing and painting; Sculpture including intensive figure sculpture. We also offer inspirational classes to learn about the techniques of distinctive art personalities.

Inspired by the atelier method of instruction, the unique emphasis of the course is given to working directly from the life model in a continuous pose of no less than a week and up to a month under unvarying (natural) north light conditions, giving optimum time to observe the figure and understand how to see. Working with tutors 6 hours a day and using the “sight- size” technique we aim to teach essential concepts of proportion, line, gesture, form and light to best master expression of the human form.

Prescott & Mackay School of Fashion and Accesory Design
Courses / Programs
Prescott & Mackay offers a unique range of short courses in fashion & accessory design from studios in London, San Francisco, Berkeley, New York and Melbourne. Courses run from beginner to advanced levels, and include shoemaking, bag making, belt making, corsetry, millinery and tutu making. Students can choose between group sessions, and private tuition.

All P&M tutors are among the best in their fields in the world, and many of them are world-renowned designers themselves. The concept for Prescott & Mackay was formulated in 1997 by British founder Melissa Needham, member of the British Footwear Association and Royal Society of the Arts. She recognised a rising passion for shoe and accessory design, yet a distinct lack of provision for those who were unable to attend full time study.

"I haven't had so much fun for ages. The teaching atmosphere was wonderful and I came away having made a pair of shoes I couldn't wait to show off. I couldn't believe I'd made them myself and nor could anyone else!"
