Instituto Cervantes is a non-profit organization created by the Spanish government, and is the largest organization in the world concerned with the teaching of Spanish. Cervantes Kids in Illinois is located in downtown Chicago and provide before, in and after school Spanish language programs for children of all levels from age 6-16. We offer 4 levels of instruction: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and High Advanced.

Cervantes Kids will help your child learn Spanish in rich and varied language programs complemented with an extensive library and fun cultural activities. Our highly qualified native teachers from Spain and Latin America hold advanced degrees in Spanish (Masters or Ph.D.) and are experienced professionals in child education.

Our internationally recognized curriculum will enhance your child’s ability to communicate in both Spanish and English. Spanish Language Center offers group, private and corporate Spanish classes for all levels at 6 locations in the Chicago Metro Area. Classes can be held at our schools in The Loop (Downtown), Lakeview (North Side); Palatine (Northwestern Suburbs); Evanston; Naperville, or Hinsdale.

Our classes are available year-round, and students may enroll at any time. Private or semi-private classes may start immediately, while group class schedules for Intro, Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced levels are dependent on location.

Spanish classes may meet weekly (weekdays or weekend) or be intensive weekend and week-long for increased language exposure.

Our instructors are native speakers, experienced and bilingual. Very reasonable rates and special discounts when students register for bigger packages. Throughout the year, students are motivated with get-togethers in cultural events and are offered special seasonal discounts.

Loyola University Chicago’s English as a Second Language (ESL) Program offers a rigorous, intensive language training program for people who are serious about learning English. With a progressive curriculum and 18 contact hours per week, the ESL Program is ideal for non-native English speakers preparing for undergraduate or graduate academic work in the United States.

Students receive support from experienced language instructors and enhance their English skills as a result of superior training and hands-on learning opportunities. ESL courses are offered during the regular academic year and in the summer. The ESL Program is also able to customize courses for groups who have particular language learning goals and needs.
Loyola's ESL Program offers four levels of courses ranging from academic beginner, low intermediate, high intermediate, to advanced. A sample list of courses includes: Composition & Grammar, Business English, TOEFL Preparation, Reading & Vocabulary, Lecture Preparation, and American English Pronunciation.
