Steinke Institute in Bonn offers a broad spectrum of courses of German as a foreign language as well as activities to best enrich the students' learning experience. The strength of the institute lies in providing top-rated language training, as well as personalised consulting and academic advice for the newly arrived foreign students to help them better integrate into their new environment. Small groups with maximum of 10 students per class help each participant to receive individual attention and practice opportunities from the instructor. Final exams take place at the end of each course and certificates are issued for each level achieved.
German Intensive Courses

Beginner - Level I, II, III
The level provides the basic grammar and vocabulary for those without any previous German language knowledge. Each course takes eight weeks and includes 160 teachin
g units.
Intermediate - Level I, II, III
As it is the aim of the Intermediate Courses to enlarge both vocabulary and correct use of grammar, the student will be put in the position to express precisely and to choose between alternating terms. Contents will orientate more to current themes, furthermore to literary texts. Each course takes 8 weeks and includes 160 teaching units.
Advanced Course
The Advanced Course leads to a further vocabulary deepening and refinement. The Advanced Course takes 8 weeks and includes 160 teaching units.
DSH/TestDaF intensive courses
The Advanced Course leads to a further vocabulary deepening and refinement. It prepares the students for the entrance exams for a German university. The DSH exam can also be passed at Steinke Institute.
Prep Courses
The institute provides students who intend to study in a German partner universities, special prep courses for German, Math, Physics, Economics and Art.
Certificates
After successful participation of each course the participants receive the Steinke Institute Certificate.
Hours: 20 teaching units each week (intensive courses). 1 teaching unit is 45 minutes. 8 weeks each level.
Special courses
Super Intensive Courses
Our Super Intensive Courses are designed for students who are prepared for a very fast progression and who want to achieve the course goal within half of the time (namely 4 weeks) compared
to a regular intensive course. These courses contain 120 teaching units per level (30 per week). Students should be able to cope with a foreign language without problems and should have learned at least one Indoeuropean language already. Also they should be prepared to do more exercises and homework compared to a regular intensive course
Evening courses
We offer special evening classes for professionals with six teaching units of tuition a week, which we call our Mini-Course. There are evening courses for each level.
Holiday Courses
We offer holiday courses for pupils and students, especially in summer. Please contact us for further information.
Integration Courses
As an immigrant or a foreigner living steadily in Germany you can participate in an integration course at Steinke Institute. A part of the fee can be financed by the German state.
Au Pair courses
Special German courses for Au pair girls with course modules that can be flexibly visited.
German courses for children
We offer special German courses for immigrant children.
Alphabetization courses
These courses are for grown-up Germans and immigrants who would like to learn reading and writing.
