English-speaking Preschool & Primary Day School Programs - Ages 2-10:
The curriculum followed at Malherbe International School incorporates the attainment targets set out by the British National Curriculum, the French pedagogic directives and American guidelines in order to ensure that when your child eventually leaves us to enter another school, he/she will have reached the appropriate level of achievement.

Greatly influenced by the Montessori Method of education, Our pre-school program is divided into three main parts:

Practical Life:
Includes a variety of exercises structured to help satisfy the child's need for meaningful activity, most often using familiar objects the child recognizes from his or her home environment.

Sensorial Apparatus:
The sensorial material develops the child's eye for detail, thus indirectly preparing him for such demanding work as letter and number recognition or operations in mathematics. Designed to encourage the child to use all of their senses and sensitivities, to sharpen their powers of observation in the world around them.

The Academic Subjects:
The child's "hands-on" experience with the materials carries on into the areas of Language, Arts, Mathematics, Geography, History and the Sciences. The class size is limited to enable the school's objectives to be met: with a maximum of 20 children.
