Intensive French Immersion in Burgundy, France

Au FIL des MOTS, Burgundy:
Situated in Cluny (one hour north of Lyon), in Southern Burgundy in the east of France, Au Fil des Mots provides made-to-measure intensive French language courses to students from all over the world. Our week-long, 50-hour French immersion program concentrates on practical oral work for those who wish to progress quickly in spoken French, for personal or professional reasons. The course includes accommodation in a local Bed & Breakfast.

Week-long, 50-hour French Language Immersion Program:
Au FIL des MOTS organises one-to-one French total immersion in France with highly intensive courses for professionals, business people and executives. The programme is full-time, and includes constant interaction and language development. It consists of 50 hours per week. While morning lessons are essentially devoted to programmed learning, afternoon activities include role-plays, telephone exercises, presentations, case studies and cultural visits.

A daily revision MP3 specially prepared for you is included in the programme. You are involved with French throughout your stay: you work on developing your French skills every minute of the day, during your individual lessons with your trainers, over meals and at coffee breaks or diner in french families. You have a suite comprising a single bedroom with private facilities, a study-room. Course features include:

- Beginner to Advanced level lessons
- Concentrating on practical, oral French
- For those looking to progress quickly in spoken French

Typical Daily Program:
- 07.30-08.30 Breakfast.
- 09.00-12.00 Grammatical structures, understanding, expression.
- 12.30-13.30 Restaurant in Cluny.
- 13.30-14.00 Free time.
- 14.00-16.00 Specific vocabulary, in connection with your interest and needs. Overview or professional presentation.
- 16.15-18.00 Cultural visit or meeting with a professional. Or listening to the news on television or on radio.
- 18.00-19.30 Free time, personal study.
- 19.30-21.30 Evening in “La Pierre Folle”, or in a restaurant, or with a French family, or a cultural activity (cinema, theatre, conference, meetings…)
